Al Gore Places Infant Son In Rocket To Escape Dying Planet
“Al Gore—or, as he is known in his own language, Gore-Al—placed his son, Kal-Al, gently in the one-passenger rocket ship, his brow furrowed by the great weight he carried in preserving the sole survivor of humanity’s hubristic folly.”

Done. And we can even cut taxes.
That’s a lovely plan. As long as you don’t think that...

I’m really impressed by this, and it saddens me that the immediate thought that people bring to this new idea is “pagans and satanism.”

Steve Jobs health condition is private
mikehudack:
bijan:
The NYT and others can’t get enough of the Steve Jobs story.
Is he sick? Is he well?
I don’t believe he needs to disclose his health status publicly. It’s none of our business. Shareholders & Apple’s board need to decide if he’s doing the best job for the company or not. And at this time, no one that could do it better. End of story.

I disagree. I feel like it’s always potentially sushi time.

The Dumbest Generation: Author Responds
chriscantwell:
So today there was an LA Times article about a new book entitled The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future, or Don’t Trust Anyone Under 30.
I posted about it earlier this morning, and how I felt it comes off a little antagonistic and negative in the whole Millennial / Digital Generation debate.
I wrote the author, Mark...

Serendipity
As my office overlooks a rather crowded intersection in Beverly Hills, I oftentimes find myself, in rare moments of downtime (or while on hold) peoplewatching. Peoplewatching in Los Angeles is an interesting thing - as well as a complete misnomer - as there are far fewer people who walk anywhere (including just down the block) compared to those who drive. So in many cases my version of...
