This habit became second nature: spider, eek, cup, wait long enough and someone else takes care of the problem. This led to much hilarity once she moved to college and, without thinking that her roommates wouldn’t understand the now-very-commonplace-in-her-world signal, continued the habit. From what I understand, there was much screaming about “the worst trick ever” and “why would you hide a spider in the bathroom under my post-brushing rinsing cup?”
