On Christian Nations
Whenever I’m being yelled at told that the United States is a “Christian Nation,” and that my beliefs make me “Unamerican” or “A Traitor,” or in one case “illegal,” I like to re-read the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli.
Specifically, article 11.
It’s also worth noting that the Treaty was one of the very few unanimous votes recorded in the Senate.
