soupsoup: think4yourself: Capitalism vs. Communism | Daily Kos: State of the Nation Here’s my issue with this: It’s not comparable at all.  One is a 9 month timeline (for which Obama wasn’t even president for the first two of those months) and one is a 12 month timeline which coincided with a major economic event.  So you really just have a graph which says “this is a graph of before and after a major economic event.  Here is the event, and here is the recovery.” Now, assuming Obama has an 8 year presidency, then feel free to put the stock market of each up against each other, but this is like comparing Apples to General Sherman.
