The Evora

6od:

The Evora by Lotus. If you like cars, consider this. It’s fucking beautiful. The pictures on the site don’t do it justice. I saw it for the first time on Saturday at the Los Angeles Auto Show. I sat in it for about 15 minutes and did not want to get out. I took some pictures, but they are with my iPhone, and due to the crazy fluorescent lights in the convention hall, you can’t really tell how sexy it is.

I went to the show expecting the Audi R8 Spyder to be like, the second coming of Jesus  for me. It wasn’t. Though exquisite, I still prefer the R8 Coupe. But the Evora? Pretty much has it beat. Go to the show. Go see for yourself. It’s like $12 bucks or something and there are even more discounted tickets online somewhere. GO SEE THE EVORA. Trust me. It will change you forever.

Lotus wins with this car.

Edit: Jen was in the car longer than 15 minutes. At one point, the CEO of Lotus - who took a liking to her - was asking to where Jen had disappeared. “She’s still in the car. She won’t get out,” I said. He responded with only a smile.

ALSO: Alan (dude above) and I are going to the Auto Show again THIS WEDNESDAY (Dec 9). You guys should go. See the Evora. Or go see the Audi R8 and R8 Spyder. Or just see whatever car isn’t as cool as the ones I mentioned because maybe you just don’t have a taste for excellence. And if you don’t like cars they also have a ShamWow! set up. Also, if you don’t like cars there’s something wrong with you. You should probably seek professional help. I’m just kidding.

Tickets can be bought on the Los Angeles Auto Show’s site.

Adults: $12.00 ($2-off discount coupons available online or at participating LA new car dealers)
E-tickets: $10.00 any day (Save $2 off $12 box office admission)
Children: 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

COME LOOK AT CARS, LOS ANGELES!

Yes, Jen and I have pretty much been recruited to work the Lotus booth. SO, any Tumblrs who come by will have some pretty good access to the cars. Just remove any sharp objects from your pockets first, please. (Checkbooks not included. They’re OK)

Maybe I’ll have to swing by on Wed…

About

I do lots of things. I'm kind of weird that way.

First and foremost, I'm the Director of Content Partnerships at Blip.tv, where you can discover the best in original web series.

Before that, I ran a consulting company focused on entertainment and government entities called Spytap Industries. In a previous life I helped create United Talent Agency's online division - the first major agency division devoted to representing and monetizing online content.

I also contribute to Here's Some Awesome, a collaborative video curation site that showcases the awesome in online video.

From time to time I write essays on topics of interest from politics, to the future of mass media, to the effects that online content and piracy are having on traditional media. They normally go here. (Latest example: "On Wikileaks")

This is my personal blog, So while it probably doesn't need to be said, all of the opinions here are solely my own or those of the people I reblog.
