Top Gear drives the Aston Martin One-77
Writing about cars is oftentimes more than just facts and figures. Yes, there’s a place for that when you’re comparing how best to get the most of your money for a car whose sole purpose is to shuttle you from A to B, but some cars deserve so much more.
The Aston Martin One-77 is a car unique to history - one of the vaunted few automobiles whose development and emergence place as much priority on art as science. It deserves a more thoughtful write-up than just a comparison to whichever Ferrari or Lamborghini the authors had access.
Thankfully Top Gear magazine found themselves with access, because they produced one of the finer hypercar reviews I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. It spends as much time on the emotional as the physical; appropriate given that no one’s purchasing a 1.5 million dollar car for practical purposes.
Oh, and the pictures are amazing as well - but you probably already guessed that.
