Saturday Morning Thoughts In The Fall
The morning air is cold against my back - the grey sky inviting. I’m glad I left the windows open last night so the morning can greet me today. It has been hot these past months - too hot for my taste - and today demonstrates the first signs of civilization. I appreciate these cold mornings - perhaps too much - in which I can drink my tea in peace as the world sleeps in around me. I enjoy the peace and sense that of all the secrets that surround me, only I am able to tell.
The kettle and cat both mew, each demanding my attention. I’ll get to them in time, but for the moment wish to enjoy the cool breeze brushing my back, raising the hairs on the back of my neck, and reminding me that these mornings are to be cherished.
